Visitor Expectations at Manitoba Outback

Manitoba Outback is a land-based, four-season outdoor destination. These policies and guidelines are in place to support guest safety, respectful land use, and a positive experience for all visitors.

By entering the property or participating in any activities, guests agree to comply with the policies outlined below.

General Conduct

All visitors are expected to:

    • Treat the land, facilities, and other guests with respect

    • Follow posted signage and staff instructions

    • Comply with all applicable provincial and federal laws

    • Recreate responsibly and safely

Manitoba Outback reserves the right to refuse access or require a guest to leave for unsafe or inappropriate behaviour.

Wildlife & Environmental Stewardship

Guests must:

    • Observe wildlife from a safe distance

    • Never feed or approach animals

    • Avoid wetlands, sensitive areas, and restricted zones

    • Leave no trace

Respect for the environment helps ensure continued access for future visitors.

Guided Activities

Participation in guided tours or hosted activities may require:

    • Advance booking

    • Attendance at a safety briefing

    • Compliance with guide instructions

Failure to follow safety instructions may result in removal from the activity without refund.

Trail Use & Recreation Guidelines

    • Trails are designated seasonally for snowmobile use when snow is present and ATV use when there is no snow

    • Use only designated trails; off-trail riding is not permitted

    • Obey all closures, advisories, and seasonal restrictions

    • Vehicles must be properly registered, insured, and operated lawfully

    • Helmets and appropriate safety gear are strongly recommended and may be required by law

Trail access and conditions are subject to change based on weather, safety, and land stewardship needs.

Alcohol, Cannabis & Impairment

    • Alcohol and cannabis use must comply with Manitoba law

    • Operating vehicles or participating in trail activities while impaired is strictly prohibited

    • Impaired behaviour may result in immediate removal from the property

Camping & Stay Guidelines

Guests staying on the property must:

    • Use designated camping or accommodation areas only

    • Observe quiet hours where posted

    • Keep sites clean and free of debris

    • Dispose of waste properly or pack it out

Fires are permitted only where and when allowed and must comply with local fire restrictions.

Pets

Pets may be permitted but must:

    • Be under control at all times

    • Not disturb wildlife or other guests

    • Be cleaned up after

Additional pet restrictions may apply seasonally.

Weather, Access & Closures

Manitoba Outback may:

    • Close trails or areas temporarily

    • Modify access based on weather or safety conditions

    • Cancel activities or services if conditions require

Guests are responsible for monitoring conditions and adjusting plans accordingly.

Assumption of Risk & Waiver of Liability

Outdoor recreation involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

    • Uneven terrain

    • Changing weather conditions

    • Wildlife encounters

    • Mechanical failure

    • Physical exertion and injury

By entering Manitoba Outback property or participating in any activities, you acknowledge and accept these risks.

Waiver & Release

By visiting or using the facilities, trails, or participating in activities at Manitoba Outback, you agree that:

    • You voluntarily assume all risks associated with outdoor recreation

    • Manitoba Outback, its owners, operators, employees, and partners are not responsible for injury, loss, damage, or death resulting from participation in activities, except where required by law

    • You are responsible for your own safety, equipment, and preparedness

This waiver applies to all visitors, including riders, campers, guests, and participants in guided activities.

Additional written waivers may be required for certain activities or events.

Compliance & Enforcement

Failure to comply with these policies may result in:

    • Restricted access

    • Removal from the property

    • Denial of future access
